Whether you are the adventurous type or if you are looking for a little bit of nothing you can enjoy a variety of activities on your visit to Belize and Ambergris Caye.
You can reserve your activities in advance of your trip or make reservations upon arrival based on availability.
This is a one-of-a-kind adventure. Visit Belize’s massive underground cave system in this trip floating on an inner tube through the crystal blue waters of the cave. This trip leaves around 6 am and returns around 5 or 6 pm. Typically includes a light snack, lunch, drinks and local beer.
You can take the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi from San Pedro over to Caye Caulker for about $25-$30 USD roundtrip. “Go Slow” is the motto at Caye Caulker with sand streets. Walking is the primary mode of transportation you can walk from one end of the island to the other in 20 minutes. There are many local food options and The Split is sure not to be missed! You can spend an afternoon or full day over at Caye Caulker.
White sandy beaches give way to the longest unbroken barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere with 185 miles of coastline, and the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world.
The Blue Hole is one of the world’s best-known diving sites. Warm, clear water with amazing views of corals and fish!
One of the best times of the year to dive in Belize is August-October when the temperature is around 83°F
A sampling of the ocean life you can see on a diving excursion in Belize is white and black tip reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, bull sharks, whale sharks, manta, eagle and sting rays, logger head and hawksbill turtles, sea horse plus all the traditional reef fish!
These all-day activity trips travel inland up-river where you’ll have a chance to see some of the local wood carvings as you make your way in land to one of the ruin locations. After you have an opportunity to take in the amazing and historic sites, you can enjoy an afternoon at one of the jungle resorts.
If you prefer fishing in calm water protected inside the reef offer fantastic variety of fishing. The reef is 19 miles from the coast at its farthest point in Southern Belize, but less than a mile at its closest point in Northern Belize so the reef is always easy to access. Inside the reef you can find several species of snappers and jacks, kingfish, Spanish mackerel and big barracuda. One of the best baits to use inside the reef is fresh conch meat your guide will find!
Our villa is located 3 miles from Secret Beach, one of the closest on the coast! (And by the way, Secret Beach, isn’t such a secret anymore.) With incredibly clear waters, you can see the massive sandbar that connects many of the islands. It is a beautiful view of the western side of the island with calm and tranquil waters. There are several places with local food and drink so plan to spend the morning, afternoon or day at Secret Beach.
Enjoy a half or full day of snorkeling on the world 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. There are a few great snorkel while on Ambergris Caye. Shark Ray Alley of the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and the Mexico Rocks. Excursions can be customized upon request with your tour guide.
